Since its founding in 1965 by Curtis Mewbourne, MOC has been a cornerstone of the oil and gas industry. The company began its journey in the Permian Basin before expanding operations into the Anadarko Basin in 1976.
Today, MOC employs over 800 people and has grown into one of the largest and most respected oil and gas companies in the United States. It remains privately owned by the Mewbourne family, a testament to its enduring legacy.
MOC is led by Regent Ken Waits, who serves as President and CEO.
Mewbourne Oil Company celebrated this significant milestone earlier this month, honoring many employees with service awards for their invaluable contributions. We are proud to share a name with an organization that exemplifies excellence, stability, and a long-term commitment to its owners, employees, partners, and stakeholders.
